Covid-19

WE ARE OPEN!

As an Allied Health Profession, having been granted Key Worker status following Public Health England protocols, we are considered to be outside the “possible carrier of infection” category and can remain open to all patients. I therefore want to take the opportunity to reassure you about the measures we have taken to make our clinic COVID SECURE.

Osteopaths have been granted the status of key workers and as such have been given permission to remain open. Osteopaths are also accredited as Allied Health Professionals by the NHS. We follow the guidelines laid down by Public Health England, our professional association and regulator.

The first measure we take is SCREENING. When someone makes a booking they will be asked if they have had close contact with someone diagnosed with Covid -19 or if they have experienced any cold or flu like symptoms within the last 14 days. An appointment reminder email the day before their visit will prompt patients to call the clinic if this has changed.

We have made a number of changes to make sure you have REDUCED CONTACT with others in the clinic. There will be no receptionist at present and bookings will be made online. There are bigger gaps between patients so you will not cross over with others. We ask that you arrive exactly on time for your appointment, not early, again so you do not come in to contact with other patients.

INFECTION CONTROL: Hand sanitiser and a face mask will be provided for you to use as soon as you enter the clinic and we ask you to touch what is only necessary.

Your practitioner will be wearing personal protective equipment. Please do not be put off by this, it is a sensible precaution.

Linen couch covers and pillow cases have been removed and replaced with wipeable covers for disinfection. Rooms will be disinfected between each patient and the whole clinic at the end of each session.

Again, to stop the need to touch card terminals with their contamination risk, we offer contactless payment.

I really hope this has been reassuring and given you confidence to attend our clinic should you need to.

Thank you and stay safe.
